I started this piece thinking it would represent Sagittarius, the Centaur archer. Instead, this horse and rider showed up. Called Free Spirit, the cowgirl rides through the Western sunset with the full moon rising behind her. To me, it speaks of freedom to live our passions. This is different from my "normal" fantasy landscapes. Southwestern is not often my theme, but sometimes the piece calls for its own path.
